While in England with a dear friend on a plain air art course, we drove past this house with sunflowers. We immediately stopped to have a closer look and while we were admiring the sunflowers and taking photos, the owner of the house came wondering out and we had a lovely chat about his house with sunflowers. In this painting I wanted the sunflowers to be prominent, with a glimmer of a sketch of the house.
