I have this beautiful old stone wall around the stoop of my house and I love the yellow of the sunflower against the roughness of the stone. This painting has to do with the deeper meaning of the sunflower and how it evolve, for the sunflower to live on, it starts to let go, losing it leaves; decay sets in but seeds form for the next flower to bloom and prosper.
