Nature is precious

Delving into conceptual art, this body of work came about

My object of choice was jewellery and it evolved into the preciousness of nature. Nature has always been close to my heart since childhood. I love my garden which consists of only trees, and love to watch how the leaves fall into the pool and create reflections, or the patterns of the bark of a tree.

And by taking photos of my object in nature it dawned on me the connectivity and preciousness that nature brings.

With this body of work through photography, acrylic and oil paintings there is a capturing of more than just the object. There are memories, emotions and deep feelings imbedded in jewellery …
And after all - precious metals and stones comes from nature.

I wish to delve into this subject more through my art in future …
